This policy explains how NeoFin Advisors collects and uses digital personal data when you visit our website or submit a consultation enquiry. It is written with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 in mind.

It does not cover financial or personal data we handle for clients under an engagement. That data is governed by the engagement letter and any data processing terms agreed with each client.

NeoFin Advisors is an outsourced finance, accounting and advisory firm based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. We provide bookkeeping, payroll, tax and compliance support, financial reporting and financial advisory services to businesses in India and internationally.

For personal data collected through this website, NeoFin Advisors decides why and how the data is processed and acts as the “Data Fiduciary” under the DPDP Act. You can contact us about privacy at info@neofinadvisors.com.

Depending on how you use the site, we may process:

• Identity and contact details you submit through forms, such as your name, email address, phone number and company name.
• Enquiry content, including the service you are interested in, your country or market and any message you choose to send.
• Optional business context you provide, such as business size, accounting system or preferred start timing.
• Technical and usage data, such as device, browser and pages visited, collected through cookies or similar technologies as described in our cookie policy.

Please do not send bank details, passwords, Aadhaar or PAN numbers or other sensitive documents through the enquiry form. Our website is intended for businesses and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We use personal data to respond to your enquiry, assess whether and how we can support you, arrange a consultation, keep the website secure and working well, and meet legal obligations that apply to us.

We rely on the consent you give when you submit an enquiry, and on the legitimate uses permitted by the DPDP Act, such as complying with law. You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to info@neofinadvisors.com; this will not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it. We will not send you marketing emails unless you have agreed to receive them.

We share personal data only with trusted service providers who help us run the website, host infrastructure, deliver email or handle form submissions. They act as Data Processors on our instructions and under contract. We may also disclose information where required by law or by a lawful request from a government authority.

We do not sell personal data. Some providers may store or process data outside India. Where that happens, we transfer data only as permitted under the DPDP Act, including any restrictions the Central Government notifies for particular countries.

We keep enquiry data only for as long as it is needed to respond to you and follow up on the conversation, or for longer where the law requires it. When the purpose has been served or you withdraw consent, we delete or anonymise the data unless we must keep it to comply with a legal obligation.

As a Data Principal under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

• Obtain a summary of the personal data we process about you and the processing activities involved.
• Ask us to correct, complete or update inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Ask us to erase personal data that is no longer needed, unless we must retain it by law.
• Withdraw your consent at any time.
• Have your grievances addressed through our grievance process.
• Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity.

To exercise any of these rights, write to info@neofinadvisors.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India once our grievance process has been completed.

We apply reasonable security safeguards, both technical and organisational, to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse, in keeping with the reasonable security practices expected under the Information Technology Act, 2000. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected individuals as the law requires.

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when our website, service providers or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Where changes are significant, we will make that clear on this page.
